The good news is that the shortcut keys used in almost all versions of Windows are the same. Here we will discuss the essential shortcut keys that make your daily work in Windows more straightforward and faster. 

 

Common keys 

Ctrl + A: To select any picture, letters, document, etc.  

Ctrl + C: Copy any selected image, word, document, or other content.

Ctrl + V: To paste copied items or content anywhere you want.

Ctrl + X: To copy any selected items and delete selected items from the present location

Ctrl + Z: To return to your previous work or to undo any changes you made or to return deleted words, pictures, videos to their original location immediately if they are not deleted permanently.

Ctrl + Y: To retrieve the changes you have made by using ctrl + z or delete retrieved content or perform the reverse task of Ctrl + z.

Ctrl + N: To Open a new file explorer or open the concerned file of the software you are using.

Alt + F4: To close the Current application or window you are using.

Alt + Tab: To switch between the applications or windows running in your foreground or background.

Windows key + M: To minimize all open windows on your desktop.

Windows key + Shift + M: To restore minimized windows or maximize the minimized windows.

Windows key + Up arrow: To maximize the selected window (to open the minimized software).

Windows key + Shift + Up arrow: To maximize the horizontally window you are currently using.

Windows key + E: To open File Explorer.

Windows key + F: To open Feedback Hub of Windows.
